Operating out of Islandeady, Co Mayo, Moran Bros Builders Ltd is a general building  company specialising in constructing bespoke houses, as well as fit-out and civil engineering  work on medium to large-scale building projects. 

Founded in 2018 by brothers Chris and Sean Moran, both of whom have decades of  experience in the building trade, our firm has steadily grown. Chris is a qualified civil  engineer, while Sean is an accomplished carpenter and construction manager. 

“When Sean and I partnered to establish our construction company eight years ago, we  could hardly have envisioned such rapid growth in such a short time,” says Chris. 

“We started with a handful of employees, myself included, and now employ over twenty full time staff, including our other brother Paddy, five full-time carpenters, and two apprentices.  We also have a full-time block and brick-laying team, an MF Ceiling crew, stone masons,  and full-time office staff. Recently, we invested substantially in a variety of excavators and  site machinery, amounting to an overall investment of half a million euros. We execute  projects using the latest construction methods on-site and make use of off-site prefabrication  where possible, which aids in managing construction times during labour shortages.” 

At Moran Bros, we are keen to remain current in an ever-changing marketplace, ensuring we  keep up to date with modern building techniques. We construct using ICF (insulated  concrete formwork), timber frame, and precast concrete panel houses, as well as innovative  heating, ventilation, and solar systems.
